Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween

For the older children and adults, Universal Studios Orlando is Halloween Horror Nights  it is going on select nights Sept. 14 thru Nov. 3.

Not to be out-done by Universal and Disney, Seaworld is also having their Halloween Spooktacular through October 28 (select nights): SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular, Orlando. During this daytime family event, guests can trick-or-treat, create sea-themed crafts, dance in a spooky dance party and enjoy an underwater “fantasea.” Included in park admission. 407-545-5550. seaworld.com

Through October 1: Magical Dining Month, Orlando. Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month was extended from original end date of Oct. 1 to Oct. 12 because of the impact of Hurricane Irma. Not far from Orlando is the lovely town of Clermont where you can enjoy the BBQ and Blues Festival on Oct. 12 – 14  At Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, enjoy a variety of live blues music by top class performers on the outdoor stage. For Art Lovers, head over to Winter Park for the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival on Oct. 13 – 14: This is the 45th annual juried art show with a longstanding tradition, drawing more than 40,000 people. The show features work by outstanding Orlando artists and also offers live entertainment and food provided by local restaurants. Children’s art workshops are also offered. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. If  you’re into Harley Davidson’s you won’t want to miss Biketoberfest, Daytona Beach. Oct. 18 – 21: Thousands of motorcycles will be roaring throughout Daytona Beach and beyond for the 26th anniversary of Biketoberfest. Hubs include Main Street, Beach Street and events at Daytona International Speedway, as well as the Harley-Davidson entertainment center Destination Daytona on U.S. 1. Another fun event near Orlando is ARToberFEST in Winter Springs, Oct. 20 – 21:   There will be over 100 art vendors at Winter Springs Town Center, Blumberg Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Orlando’s closest beach is Cocoa Beach FL, They are having a Fall Art & Craft Fair Oct. 20 – 21:  This 36th annual autumn event features more than 200 exhibitors, a kids’ zone, food, a beer garden and live music.
